David Connor's family have been in
the jewellery trade for three generations. Having grown up with
an uncle, who was an accomplished jeweller and an older brother
who was completing his five year apprenticeship, David had no
doubts that his future lay in crafting fine pieces of jewellery.

David secured an apprenticeship with
the same firm as his brother, where he received top class training
in all aspects of jewellery making. Five years later, after he finished
his apprenticeship at Hatton Gardens, he once again followed his
brother to Londons West End, where the finest jewellery in the world
was produced. He has made customised jewellery for such personalities
as the Duchess of Argyle, Ladies in waiting to the Royal family,
members of the Churchill family and TV and film personalities including
Ringo Starr.
In 1965 David moved to Australia
and established his own workshop specialising in fine hand made
jewellery. He is able to design the perfect piece and show it to
the client partly finished, thus eliminating any anxiety they may
have concerning the finished product.
His wife Jan is a qualified Gemmologist
and diamond grader, and this combined with staff with experience
in coloured stones, pearls and antique jewellery, makes the perfect
place to get your valuations done. David is a registered valuer
with Jewellery and Allied Trade Valuers Council (no 72) and was
one of its inaugural members. Other services include jewellery
repairs, watch repairs, silver plating, china repairs and pearl
stringing.
